International Kate Festival At Aceh

Festival layang-layang internasional yang di selenggarakan di Aceh, tepat di Banda Aceh dan Aceh Besar (11/6/2011). Kegiatan ini untuk mendukung Visit Aceh 2011 dua tahun lalu. Festival layang-layang ini di ikuti oleh banyak pencinta layangan disuluruh dunia bagian Asia seperti Singapore, Malasyia, Myanmar, Jepang, Korea, Thailand dan masih banyak lainnya.

Acara ini berlangsung selama dua hari. Hari pertama dilaksanakan di kota Banda Aceh tepatnya dilapangan Blangpadang, dan hari kedua dilaksanakan di pantai lampuuk, Aceh Besar.

Masyarakat setempat sangat antusias melihat acara tersebut. Dari foto-foto yang ada, banyak yang mengira acara ini dilakukan di pantai kute Bali. Padahal dipantai lampuuk yang indah mempesona, tidak kalah dengan pantai kute Bali. Namun Aceh adalah negeri syariat sangat sulit untuk membuat pantai lampuuk menjadi seperti pantai kute bali.

Ekpedisi Pulau Rusa bersama RCM FISIP Unsyiah

Keberangkatan menuju pulau rusa 

Tim Republik Cinta Manajemen (RCM) FISIP melakukan ekspedisi ke Pulau Rusa, (16/03). Perjalanan yang lumayan jauh dari Banda Aceh ke Lhoong butuh waktu sekitar sejam karena kita mesti melewati dua gunung yaitu gunung paro dan gunung kulu.

Untuk menuju pulau rusa, harus menggunakan boat nelayan di pantai tanjung Saney/Utamong. biaya penyeberangan ke pulau rusa 500 ribu sudah pulang pergi. Pulau Rusa merupakan pulau yang berada paling luar di Indonesia. Pulau ini dipenuhi oleh pohon kelapa dan semak-semak. Namun, bentangan pasir putih dan batu-batuan karstnya menghiasi di sepanjang bibir pantai. Pulau tak berpenghuni ini terletak di Kecamatan Lhoong, Kabupaten Aceh Besar, Provinsi Aceh. Meskipun terpencil dan terisolasi, pulau kecil seluas 0,296 kilometer persegi ini memiliki nilai strategis jika ditinjau dari sudut pandang geopolitis. Pulau ini berada di sebelah barat daya dari kota Banda Aceh dengan koordinat 5° 16′ 34″ LU, 95° 12′ 7″ BT.

Panorama Pantai Pulau Rusa 

 Perairan di Pulau Rusa berbatasan dengan India. Itu artinya, pulau yang juga tersapu tsunami dahsyat dan berbentuk mirip rusa itu memiliki peran penting dalam menentukan batas wilayah antara Indonesia dan India.

 Pulau ini sangat indah, baik di wilayah daratan, pantai, maupun laut. Pulau ini terbentuk dari hasil pengikisan erosi dan abrasi batu gamping. Ada yang lucu, meski namanya Pulau Rusa, di daerah ini tidak ada rusa sama sekali. Hewan yang hidup di pulau ini adalah babi, ular, dan hewan melata lainnya.  

Kalau turun ke arah pantai, Anda akan mendapatkan panorama yang mengagumkan. Dengan garis pantai tidak terlalu panjang, Anda menjumpai batu-batu besar yang tersusun ecara alami. Rasanya tak kalah dengan panorama pantai di Bangka Belitung seperti ditampilkan dalam film Laskar Pelangi. 

Pantai pulau rusa 

Di ketinggian 32 meter dari permukaan laut terdapat semua tower pemantau peninggalan belanda, namun sudah hancur di hantam tsunami. Sekarang tower itu sudah di bangun kembali. untuk menuju tower itu mesti melewati bukit yang terjal dan betuan yang besar. 

Kalau anda ingin camping di pulau ini di harapkan membuat bekal secukupnya dan air bersih yang cukup, kalau bisa lebih dari cukup. Karena di pulau rusa ini sangat sulit mendapatkan air tawar. di bawah kaki gunung terdapat satu buah kolam tidak terlalu besar tempat penampung air yang keluar dari batu. Namun airnya sangat bau karena tidak pernah di bersihkan. Ada satu tempat lagi tempat air tawar yang bersih tetapi harus melewati tebing yang juram dan extrem sekali. Jalan menuju tebing itu melewati bebatuan besar anda harus berhati2 melawati tebing itu, karena kalau jatuh langsung ke babatuan bawah dan ombak yang ganas perairan lepas.

Memancing Demi Sesuap Nasi Untuk Keluarga

  

Kegiatan Rutin yang dilakukan pemuda dan orang tua di seputaran lhoong adalah memancing. Setiap harinya bermodal perahu sampan dan pancingan, mereka mengayuh sampannya di sungai lhoong yang bermuara ke laut tanjung. Panas terik yang menusuk kulit sudah biasa mereka jalani. Itu semua demi keluarga mereka yang menunggu di rumah berharap ada ikan yang di tenteng mereka saat tiba dirumah. Beginilah kehidupan beberapa pemuda & orang tua yang tinggal di lhoong, Aceh Besar. 

Namun ada juga pemuda di lhoong yang berprofesi sebagai nelayan. Mereka bukan nelayan biasa yang menangkap ikan dengan jala, tapi menangkap dengan cara menyelam kedalam laut, bermodal kacamata, kaki bebek, alat tembak ikan dan kompresor untuk oksigen pernapasan.
